Segens' Home and Journal Me, my Life, my Interests and my online Journal.

About This Journal

Updated Sept. 26th, 2009

Very simply, My heritage, and family line is originally German.

Segen is German for Blessing.
Blessing is my last/surname.

And this is my digital version of my journal.
Thus, Segens' Journal.

Some history follows, but as of Sept. 23rd 2009 this journal is a general journal, not just a journal about my physical 'in paper' writing as it was for a few months. It is now a journal and general catch all blog again.

Sunday May 10th, 2009 update follows;

I'm back to journaling on paper again, my life, and also with the fiction/novel I've been writing for a couple years. So I no longer needed this blog as it was; A journal, and catch all posting place. And honestly, I seldom used it as a journal in the true sense of a the term.. its mostly been random thoughts and stuff that I find interesting on the web. I was not finding it easy to express thoughts to paper when I started this blog, and it was easier here in floating electrons then. Then it was hard for me to record life at all, but I was enjoying witting reviews and articles for other sites, so just kept this blog for misc. stuff...

But as I said, I came back to journaling and writing on paper, and started finding a computer a little confining and un-natural again, so a change here was needed, or else just close the blog.

So, this blog became a ''journal about my journal and writing''; Books and paper I use, pens, pencils etc... Theories on writing, organizing and note taking as well. I am becoming a paper junkie, well, always have been, trying new mediums and having options.

I've always kept a journal, and have always carried a note pad daily, for thoughts/work/ and sorta micro-portable journaling. -- Now I use a custom Hipster PDA.

I also enjoy book binding, journal making, so I 'cover' (no pun intended) some of the book binding I do myself here too.

Might see a little origami content here too, it fits in with papers and such as a topic. I've found that carrying paper for that is easier with carrying a journal, and a friend had started doing origami flowers, and got me back making birds again after several months of no inspiration there...

And so, the pages turn with the days and years, and, as in this case, the chapter is changing. A new term of life, a new chapter.

May your pages be plentiful, and dry,
and your pen be filled,
Gary.
