Summer of Code 2009The
Google Summer of Code lets college students work with lead developers
on a bunch of open source projects, you can get college credit for it,
and if you do a good job, you can earn up to forty-five hundred bucks
over the summer
That link goes to a wordpress blog on it, since WP is participating(yeah, I'm tempted to try entering, but I don't hack enough yet to have any snow balls chance in hell of getting in...
